How to Join a Deposition

If you've received an invitation to an AgileLaw deposition — as a witness, court reporter, or co-counsel — follow the steps below. No software installation required.

Joining as a guest

01

Find your PIN in the invitation email

Look for an email from AgileLaw containing a PIN number. Keep this email open — you'll need the PIN to enter the deposition. The PIN is unique to this proceeding.

02

Go to login.agilelaw.com

Open your browser and navigate to login.agilelaw.com. Below the regular sign-in form, you'll see a "Join Deposition" option. Click it.

03

Enter your PIN, email address, and name

Type in the PIN from your invitation, your email address, and your full name exactly as they appear in the invitation. Then click Join.

04

Wait to be admitted

You'll see a holding screen after submitting your information. The attorney conducting the deposition will admit you when they're ready — this is intentional. The attorney controls who enters and when.

05

You're in

Once admitted, you'll see the deposition interface. Exhibits will appear on your screen as the attorney shares them. You don't need to do anything else — just follow along.

AgileLaw works in any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge — on any laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone. Nothing to install.

Joining with your own AgileLaw account

01

Create a Participant deposition in your case

Log into your AgileLaw account and open the case. Create a new deposition and select the "Participant" role rather than the taking attorney role.

02

Click Join Deposition and enter the PIN

From your deposition, click the Join Deposition button and enter the PIN provided by the taking attorney.

03

Wait for the taking attorney to admit you

The taking attorney will receive a notification of your request. Once admitted, your exhibit list will appear alongside any exhibits the taking attorney introduces.

Joining with your own account lets you introduce exhibits from your own case file and automatically syncs exhibits introduced by the taking attorney — useful for co-counsel and participating attorneys.
